Second Children's Program at the Ukiah Library

Saturday, January 28th from 10:30 to noon.

Dog Talk- Kids & Dogs, Together, Safely
An interactive presentation for Elementary School age children. Help your child learn how to enjoy being with dogs, responsibly and safely. Only certified Therapy Dogs will be at the presentation.

Loretta Lazar will lead this free program. Class size is limited so please sign up. Sign up sheet will be in the Children's Room. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.

Fort Bragg Library Welcomes Author Gerald Beranek

Gerald F. Beranek, author of "High Climbers and Timber Fallers," will be the guest speaker at the Fort Bragg Friends of the Library annual meeting on Saturday, January 14th at 10:00 a.m.

Beranek's Book documents old growth logging in the Northwest from 1976 to 2000.

The Friends welcome non-members to this event.

January Quilt at the Ukiah Library


The January Quilt displayed at the Ukiah Library is by Vicky Groom. "It Takes Time" was the theme for the Mendocino Quilt Artists' 2005 Challenge. This quilt depicts the rapid passing of time by acknowledging many of the women and events that have shaped out culture and society over the past 50-60 years.
