Banned Books Week

In honor of Banned Book Week, we recommend a 1956 film, Storm Center, which starred Bette Davis, who played a librarian branded a communist because she refused to remove a controversial book from the library.
"Storm Center is an American drama film directed by Daniel Taradash. The screenplay by Taradash and Elick Moll focuses on what were at the time two very controversial subjects, communism and book banning, and took a strong stance against censorship." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_Center

"This great little film compares favorably with Mr. Smith Goes to Washington." user review at  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0049800/
