Here are a few more resources that you can use at home before you come to Ukiah or Fort Bragg libraries to search the Foundation Center databases. 

The Foundation Center has a new FREE online search capability: http://fdo.foundationcenter.org/. It is limited to private foundations that can only be searched for by name or location, but it is a great place to learn to navigate the paid version we have in the libraries.

Grantspace (http://grantspace.org)  has links to FAQs (and an online chat with a Foundation Librarian link) and sample documents under the TOOLS tab; an amazing number of free webinars under the CLASSROOM tab; and skills such as developing proposals and managing nonprofits under the SKILLS tab.
